HVLS Ceiling Fans
Circulate a lot of air at a very low speed with HVLS ceiling fans
HVLS Ceiling Fans are ceiling fans that are greater than 7 feet in diameter, move a high volume of air at a low speed (around 8 mph), and can cover an area of over 20,000 square feet. They are lightweight because there is no gear box, and emit <42 decibels, so they are quiet. In the summer, these big ceiling fans move a significant amount of air, creating a gentle but notable breeze for employees (10-12 degrees cooler). In the winter, as heat rises to the ceiling and becomes trapped, they gently push the warm air down to the floor.
With direct drive motors, our HVLS ceiling fans eliminate the need for gears, resulting in fewer parts wearing out or requiring maintenance. This design choice also ensures quieter operation. In addition, the user-friendly controls and systems allow for straightforward operations and adjustments, making it easier for facility managers to regulate and maintain desired conditions.
These fans reduce the burden on cooling and heating systems and ultimately lead to energy savings. Their unique blade design produces greater airflow with less energy consumption, making them highly efficient. By enacting the principles of aerodynamics, the fan creates optimal air distribution and minimal drag. Their robust and sturdy construction also means they are built to last and withstand industrial conditions. They also conform to ANSI/AMCA regulations for large-diameter ceiling fans.
Optionally, one of our suppliers offers HVLS controls to connect, control, and troubleshoot all your HVLS ceiling fans. HVLS controls are digital fan controllers that make it possible to program complex fan schedules, adjust fan speeds remotely and monitor fan airflow in real time. Depending on the size and type of system you choose, you’ll be able to manage a single fan or a zone containing up to 30 fans. Setting a schedule will be determined by several factors, including the climate, when large machinery is running and when workers are present.
