Power Tubes - Fabric Air Ducts Systems

Efficiently Direct and Control Airflow Distribution Across Large Areas with Power Tubes

Power tubes are fabric air duct systems custom-designed to efficiently control airflow distribution over large areas by moving and directing air through a custom-vented tube powered by a high-velocity fan. One fan can send airflow across multiple workstations or down an assembly line to several workers at floor level. By placing 3” holes the length of the tubes, employees experience air movement without having to stand directly in front of a high-velocity fan. Power Tubes allow you to use a single fan in situations where, otherwise, several fans would be required. This helps maintain a low-profile position by not obstructing operational floor space, allowing production to run smoothly and efficiently. Power Tubes are economical, even during the winter months, keeping the air destratified. Destratification occurs by mixing the warm air trapped near the ceiling with the cooler air below to create a balanced temperature, thus reducing the strain on your HVAC system. There are two ways to use a power tube for destratification: • Use a vertically mounted fan and an open-ended tube if ceiling space is limited. This can also be used for spot-heating specific areas. • Place a standard horizontally mounted power tube near the ceiling. Workers at floor level will feel the warmth rather than the breeze. Use this method if a large ceiling fan is out of your budget. The benefits of power tubes include: • Improved energy efficiency through better air distribution. • Redistribution of warmer air from one area of your facility to another. • Customized tube configurations that can maneuver around obstacles. • Move trapped heat at rates of up to 12,000 CFM. By considering work area size, floor plan, and other variables, our team will help you design a system that meets the unique airflow requirements of your application. Details

  • Power tubes are fabric air duct systems custom-designed for efficient airflow control over large areas.
  • They move and direct air through custom-vented tubes powered by high-velocity fans.
  • One fan can distribute airflow across multiple workstations or down an assembly line.
  • Employees experience airflow through 3” holes along the tubes without standing directly in front of fans.
  • Power tubes allow using a single fan instead of multiple ones, maintaining a low-profile position and efficient operational floor space.
  • They are economical year-round, keeping air destratified by mixing warm air near the ceiling with cooler air below, balancing the temperature and reducing the strain on HVAC systems.
  • There are two ways to use a power tube for destratification:
    • Vertically mount fans with open-ended tubes when ceiling space is limited. This method can also be used for spot-heating.
    • Horizontally mount power tubes near the ceiling. Workers at floor level will feel the warmth. Use this method if a large ceiling fan is out of your budget.
  • The benefits of power tubes include improved energy efficiency, redistribution of warmer air, customized tube configurations, and moving trapped hear at rate of up to 12,000 CFM.
